Number of Visitors for Facebook, Digg, Myspace, Twitter, Stumbleupon and other social networks

Category: Internet   Tags: , , , ,

Here is an update of how much traffic your favorite social websites are receiving. Data is from Google trends.

networking

Facebook is eating Myspace away while Twitter shows modest gains.

Surprisingly, Stumbleupon nearly has half the traffic of the 800 lb heavyweight Digg. It is interesting to note that Digg is losing traffic.

Slashdot has had an astronomical decline (soon to be confirmed by Netcraft). Reddit has been edging upwards slowly compared to Fark and 4chan.

reddit_4chan

This was the 8th most searched term for people who visited Reddit. 4chan had similar search volume.

delicious_vs_technorati

These two bookmarking giants are seeing a modest decline in traffic.

I thought about using Quantcast for statistics, but they are highly inaccurate when it comes to websites that don’t embed their trackers. I will probably get people complaining about accuracy either way, so I stuck with Google.
